Bilastine 40mg Tablets
BILAYER – 40
Bilayer 40 Tablets come under the group of medications called ‘antihistamine/anti-allergic’ used in various kinds of allergic symptoms like blocked/runny/itchy nose, red/watery eyes, and skin rashes. An allergic reaction is an immune system reaction to outside substances that are usually not detrimental to your body. These unwanted compounds are referred to as “allergens.” The severity of allergies varies from person to person. Some people may have dietary allergies as well as seasonal allergies like hay fever. Others might, however, have allergies to pet dander or pollen.
An “antihistamine/anti-allergic” drug is present in Bilastine 40 MG Tablet and is primarily used to treat different types of allergies. Additionally, it cures urticaria, year-round pet or dust allergies (perennial allergic rhinitis), and seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) (swelling, redness, and itchiness of the skin). In essence, it aids in the relief of uncomfortable signs and symptoms brought on by allergic reactions, such as blocked/runny/itchy noses, red/watery eyes, and skin rashes. It has a substance called bilastine (antihistamine), which is used to treat allergies because it prevents the activity of histamine, a chemical messenger that is normally implicated in allergic reactions.
Bilashine 40mg Tablet can be taken an hour before or two hours after food, however taking it simultaneously will provide the greatest benefit. It should be considered medical advice from your doctor. Depending on what you are taking it for, you should adjust the dosage and frequency. How much improvement in your symptoms is required will be determined by your doctor. Remember that the dosage is determined by the medication type (tablet or syrup), the patient’s age, and their current medical condition. For as long as it has been recommended for you, you should take this medication. Consult a doctor if you notice no improvement in your symptoms.
Bilastine should not be taken by anyone who is allergic to the drug, is currently breastfeeding, has severe kidney disease (creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min), urinary retention, or fructose intolerance. Children under the age of 12 should not be given this medication. Consult your doctor if you are using ritonavir to treat HIV infection and midodrine to treat low blood pressure.
Most side effects are temporary and go away as your body becomes used to the medication. If they continue or you are concerned about them, consult your doctor.
Can Bilastine be used in the patients with prostate enlargements?
Bilastine is not advised for usage in persons with prostate enlargement since it may exacerbate or cause urinary problems in these patients. It is recommended that you speak with your doctor before using it.
Can I stop taking Bilastine 40 MG Tablets on my own?
No, it is not advised that you discontinue taking this medication without first visiting a medical professional since this could make the situation worse or result in recurrent symptoms. As a result, take this medication for the entire time that your doctor has recommended it. If you suffer any problems while taking it, consult your doctor.
