Clindamycin Phosphate & Benzoyl Peroxide refer to the class of dermatological mixture called ‘antiacne’ used to cure acne and kill bacteria, causing acne. Clindamycin Phosphate & Benzoyl Peroxide is a combination of two drugs: Clindamycin and Benzoyl peroxide used to treat acne. Clindamycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that works against both aerobic and anaerobic gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. The acne-causing bacteria feeds on sebum that is produced by oil glands in the skin and produces fatty acids and waste products that irritate oil glands, causing redness and swelling. Clindamycin stops the production of proteins which is necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply, and increase in numbers. Thereby, stopping or slowing down the growth of bacteria and clearing acne. Benzoyl peroxide is a keratolytic element that breaks down a protein which is known as keratin removes dead skin cells and softens skin. Thereby, helping in reducing blackheads and whiteheads. Directions To Use

• Wash the affected area with hot water and gently dry with a clean towel.
• Use your fingertips to spread a thin layer of gel mostly over the affected area. Avoid contact with the gel in your eyes, nose, mouth, or other body openings. If you do get the gel in your eyes then immediately wash your face with warm water.
• Look in the mirror. If you see a white spot on your skin, you have used too much medicine to remove that spot.
• Wash your hands with soap.

Dosing

The dose of these medicines is different for different persons. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine and read all the instructions carefully that were printed on the label. The dose of medicine that you take depends on the strength of the medicine. The number of doses you take each day, the time allowed between doses, and the length of time you take the medicine depend on the condition and age of the the patient.

Avoid contact with Clindamycin Phosphate & Benzoyl Peroxide with the nose, ears, mouth, or eyes. In case Clindamycin Phosphate & Benzoyl Peroxide comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with warm water thoroughly. Avoid sun exposure while using Clindamycin Phosphate & Benzoyl Peroxide as it may make the skin more sensitive to sunlight and cause sunburn. Wear full sleeves or protective clothes and use sunscreen while going out to protect your skin from the ultraviolet rays of the sun.
