OLOCAN – 5 tablets contain Olopatadine Hydrochloride which is an “antihistamine” that is used in the treatment of allergic conditions. It helps in treating allergic symptoms by blocking the effects of chemical messengers (histamine) in the body. Allergic symptoms such as itching, swelling and rashes. This medicine suppresses production and release of allergic substances (histamine, etc.) in the body. It also resolves and relieves allergic symptoms in skin and nose by inhibiting activities of these allergic substances. It is usually used in the treatment of allergic rhinitis, hives, and itch associated with skin diseases. 

Uses of Olopatadine Hydrochloride 5MG Tablets 

Olopatadine Hydrochloride Tablets are used in the treatment of allergic reactions, itching, rashes, hives associated with skin. It inhibits the activity of allergic substances such as ‘histamine’ . It works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers released due to an allergic response in the body from mast cells. 

Directions and Precautions 

Usually take Olopatadine Hydrochloride 5MG Tablets twice a day in the morning and before going to bed. The dosage of this medication is prescribed by the doctor after analyzing the medical condition of the patient. Swallow the whole medicine with a glass of water. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own if you missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. . However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.  Never take two doses at one time. Before taking this medication tell the doctor if the patient has an allergic reaction to Olopatadine Hydrochloride. Avoid driving or using heavy machinery while taking this  medication as it may cause sleepiness. Avoid taking this medication if you are breastfeeding and pregnant.
