Tranexamic Acid is related to the category of medicine called ‘anti-fibrinolytic drugs’ used to cure abnormal or unwanted bleeding. It helps to control bleeding in situations such as heavy periods, nose bleeds, cervical surgery, prostate surgery, bladder surgery, bleeding inside the eye, and a hereditary disease called angioneurotic edema. The solution form of this medicine is used before tooth removal in hemophiliacs. Tranexamic Acid extracts ‘tranexamic acid’, which is related to the category of ‘anti-fibrinolytic agents’. It is mainly used for short-term treatment of bleeding. It works by regulating the damage of blood clots. It stops the release and action of plasmin, an enzyme important for the breakdown of clots that stay in the blood. This effect helps to decrease the movement of bleeding.
